This sums it up rather nicely, from one of the Blinkx threads on ADVFN

(apologies for spelling and grammar - I've reproduced it here as it was posted)

I read with interest iii lse and ADVFN posts on Blinkx because i have been a shareholder for a number of years, making the mistake of not looking hard enough to see that SC sold out his personal shares a few years ago, i always look to invest when the directors have their own personal money invested, not like bankers who award through bonus shares.

SC is brilliant in the idea side of the business, i think superb and far advanced of most people in working out problems and new ideas in the tech side,
but there is every evidence that he is not the dragon den type of hard nose boss that goes for profit, he is more like the person with superb ideas, asking for 5 million, he certainly cannot go back and ask for more, i also am not sure if the high staff level is going to bring in profits, or eat them up.

The beginning where every bit of stupid unimportant silly deal was posted was counterproductive, and SC was told not to do this by a business partner at the time, then there was a time where i think he was in a panic and tried everything and then dumped them,i think he was looking at something that would make money, but he wasted so much time going from one product to another, i think he has found it in Miniweb, but the wasted years have let too many companies try other alternatives, SC was just too long trying to look cool, the problem is he was brought up in a university background and did not realise that business was different, so many years without making a profit, looking at ML of Autonomy to back him up.
SC could dump all the ideas he wanted because it was blinkx, but when he had to produce it for miniweb, he had to go through right to the end and make it work fist time, and i am sure there were more problems than he thought.
If blinkx cannot make be a profitable company this year and future years then SC should go where he is the best, at designing, and let a Dragon Den person be in charge in making the company profitable.
SC shows his inexperience in business by letting blinkx remain at such a low share price, ML Autonomy was in a tech bubble, blinkx is not,- and should not use Autonomy past share price as an excuse of blinkx share low price.

The numbers of blinkx customers are school and university age, and on school and university holiday the numbers go up, back at school/uni the numbers go down.
