- blinkx today announced a partnership with Source Interlink Media (SIM), the major US provider of special interest media, in particular video material from SIM’s leading brands MOTOR TREND and DIRT RIDER.

- blinkx is explicit that it will “place contextually relevant advertising against the videos and share resulting advertising revenue with Source Interlink Media”. SIM commented: "blinkx's unique technology and advanced search capabilities give auto enthusiasts and action sports fans everywhere another opportunity to watch our video content online with ease."

- Source Interlink Media (Bonita Springs, Florida) lists over 75 publications; has some 90 websites (e.g. automobilemag.com); serves over 110,000 US retailers; has 400 branded products; stages 65+ special events annually; and has TV and radio programmes. It states that its readership “represents the largest penetration of prized 18-34 year old male demographic of any [US] magazine group”. SIM acquired Prime Media’s [PRM.US] Enthusiast Media catalogue for $1.3bn in Aug’07. Founded in 1949 MOTOR TREND magazine has a circulation of 1.1m and a readership of 7.6m, a media presence via www.motortrend.com, MOTOR TREND Radio, Truck Trend and www.youtube.com/motortrend.

- The SIM deal represents exactly the type of association that should continue to fuel blinkx’ targeted advertising revenue model, addressing its target 18-20% (E) of total blinkx video searches that match the requirements of its advertising partners. Our target daily total blinkx search rate is 36m (E) by March 2011 compared to 22.6m reported in March 2010 and 8.4m registered in March 2009. Our rating remains “Buy”, target price 110p.
